LEARN THE ART OF FLY TYING... Seasonal Saturday Morning Fly Tying Sessons...
Our Chapter hosts regular fly tying sessions open to anyone interested in learning the "Art of Fly Tying" or wishing to enrich or share their fly tying experience.
The group meets on the first three Saturday's of each month from 9:30 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. noon at the Connetquot River State Park Preserve ~ Oakdale, New York in the Park's historic Main Club House (formerly of the Southside Sportsman's District Club) during the fall and winter months.
It does not matter if you are a first-time beginner, novice or professional, everyone is welcome to join the camaraderie, the knowledge exchange, and the fun of hand crafting one's own flies in hopes of perhaps fooling a wily fish in the coming season or just enjoying the pure artistry of crafting.
Our members will happily share fly tying materials needed for the weekly lesson, and will share tools & equipment with those new to the craft if needed. So, come join the group some Saturday morning, and try your hands at crafting a few of your own fly creations to use on your next angling adventure or to simply adorn your den.
PS. Our crew can help you tie all matter of flies! Just ask!!
