 Directions:

Connetquot River State Park Preserve is on Route 27/Sunrise Highway in Oakdale, NY.  The Park's main entrance is on the North side of the Highway which at this point is a divided highway, and serviced only from the westbound lanes.  If coming from the West on Eastbound Route 27/Sunrise Highway then a U-Turn must be made at an exit and cross-over shortly after passing the park.  Use the exit for Oakdale/Bohemia Road (47A), crossover Route 27, and then re-enter the Westbound Route 27/Sunrise Highway from the north Sunrise Highway service road.  The Park Entrance is off of the right lane of the main Highway (Note: Exercise care not to speed by the short exit lane of the signed park entrance.  If so, you will have to re-initiate the U-Turn process twice from Connetquot Avenue cross-over, and again Oakdale/Bohemia Road cross-over.)

If coming from the East on Westbound Route 27/Sunrise Highway then after passing the cross-over for Oakdale/Bohemia Road, consider remaining in the right-hand lane, and watching for the signage for the Park's entrance (about 1.5 miles from cross-over), and prepare to slow down as the right hand exit lane is short and rather abrupt when traveling at posted speed limit of 55 mph.
