Reporting Fishing ViolationsUnfortunately, many people do not share the conservation and fishing ethics of our Chapter, nor do they obey State Fishing Regulations, rules & laws put into place to maintain a healthy fishery, all kinds.
If you see someone who is breaking the law, Do not confront them. Its not worth getting into an argument.
Put the following numbers in your cell phone and call them immediately:
To contact an Environmental Conservation Police Officer or report suspected violations, call the DEC Law Enforcement Dispatch Center at 1-844-DEC-ECOs (1-844-332-3267)
Remember... if you see something... say something to the proper authorities. If they are not alerted to a problem, they won't know that there is a problem. Help make a difference!
